Established in 1996, Daniel’s Den is a faith-based, interdenominational Christian ministry providing emergency assistance and transitional housing in Ellis County.  Until the founding of this ministry, there were no emergency shelters or transitional housing facilities serving our area.  Our purpose is to restore and strengthen the lives of homeless people in Ellis County.  We minister to the physical, spiritual, and vocational needs of unfortunate men and women.  Most importantly, we will have the opportunity to introduce these individuals to Jesus Christ, and therefore share with them the Bread of Life.

We receive referrals from law enforcement agencies, fire departments, churches, hospitals, individuals and other social service agencies.  Our services are made possible through the support of the United Way of West Ellis County, concerned individuals, churches, civic organizations and companies who serve as donors.

Our goal is to provide individuals an opportunity to move beyond shelter.  We strive to send individuals and families back to the community with the ability to live and work independently.
